Dibba Al-Hisn Bilateral Theatre Festival “9”
The Dibba Al-Hisn Bilateral Theatre Festival was established in 2016 as part of Sharjah’s ongoing efforts to diversify and enrich the types and venues of theatrical performances and festivals. The festival celebrates duet theatrical performances (“Diodrama”), which rely on the dramatic interaction between only two characters on stage, exploring the aesthetics and meanings of this distinctive artistic form. The festival annually hosts one Emirati performance, in addition to four theatrical performances from other Arab countries.
